Privacy Policy

Kelpkin Studios keeps things simple. We don't ask for your name, email address or other contact details. This site uses no tracking cookies and no analytics scripts. Our host, Cloudflare, counts visits from its own server logs (see Server logs below). If you play an embedded YouTube video, YouTube may set cookies (see below).

Search

The search box runs entirely in your browser. What you type is never sent to us.

Server logs

Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, keeps standard server logs, such as IP address, pages visited, referring page and browser type, to run and secure the site. We use Cloudflare's traffic analytics, which reads those logs to give us totals like page views and top pages. It adds no script and sets no tracking cookies in your browser. This site is for visitors in the United States. Visits from other countries may be blocked or asked to pass a Cloudflare security check, which can set a short-lived security cookie. It isn't used for tracking.

Cookies

This site uses no tracking cookies, so there is no cookie notice. Our visit counts come from server logs, not cookies.

Links to other sites

Some links go to third-party stores, such as Amazon. Amazon and other third parties may place or recognize cookies on your browser. If you follow a store link, that store's own privacy policy applies.

Episode videos come from YouTube in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). Nothing loads from YouTube until you press Play. After you press Play, YouTube (Google) may set cookies or collect data; see Google's privacy policy.

How we keep your visit safe

Kelpkin Studios is a site of plain pages. There are no accounts, logins, passwords or customer database here to break into, and every page is served over secure HTTPS.

• Our site tells your browser not to let our pages use your camera, microphone or location, or similar device features such as motion sensors and USB devices.
• Our pages only run scripts served from our own site. That helps block a common hacking trick: slipping outside code into a page.
• Other websites can't load our pages inside theirs.
• YouTube videos stay off until you press Play, then play in YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode. After that, YouTube may set its own cookies (see above).
• We don't set tracking cookies or use ad trackers. Visit counts come from Cloudflare's server logs (see Server logs above).

No website can promise perfect security, but we keep things simple and lock down what we can. Questions? Email us at the address below.
